WHAT IS PICK 3?
Pick 3 is an engaging draw game where players aim to select one or two sets of three-digit numbers that match the drawn winning numbers to secure a prize.

WHAT IS A PLAY TYPE?
The Play Type signifies the method by which players select their numbers and determines the potential prize amounts. Upon purchasing a ticket, players first select their numbers and then choose their Play Type from the following options:
- Straight: Choose any three numbers. They must match the winning numbers in exact order to win.
- Box 3-Way: Two of the three selected numbers must be identical. Winning numbers can match in any order to secure a win.
- Box 6-Way: All three selected numbers must be distinct. Winning numbers can match in any order for a win.
- Straight/Box: Select any three numbers. They can match in exact order or any order to win, but an exact match carries a higher prize.
- Front Pair: Choose any three numbers. The first two numbers must match the winning numbers in exact order for a win.
- Back Pair: Choose any three numbers. The last two numbers must match the winning numbers in exact order for a win.
HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS AND PLAY
How to Purchase a Ticket:
To acquire a ticket, locate an Arizona Lottery retailer. Pick tickets are priced at $1 per game (1-play and 2-play) and are purchasable at the counter of Arizona Lottery Retailers and through Arizona Lottery vending machines. Online purchases are not available.
How to Choose Your Numbers:
There are two methods to select numbers:
- Opt for a Quick Pick on the vending machine or request a Quick Pick from the cashier during purchase for the computer to select the numbers randomly.
- Choose your own numbers by completing a selection slip or informing the cashier. Select one or two sets of three-digit numbers (000 – 999).
How to Choose Your Play Type:
Specify to the cashier which of the six play types you prefer (Straight, Box 3-Way, Box 6-Way, Straight/Box, Front Pair, or Back Pair).

How to Claim Your Winnings:
$1 – $599 Prizes:
All Arizona Lottery retailers will honor prizes up to $100 and may redeem prizes up to $599. Find a Location
$600+ Prizes:
For prizes of $600 or more, redeem your prize by completing a Winner’s Claim Form and mailing it or visiting the Phoenix or Tucson Arizona Lottery office. Refer to our Winner’s Brochure for further details.
PICK 3 FAQS
The odds of winning Pick 3 vary based on the chosen Play Type. Refer to the complete list of odds for more details.
Drawings for Pick 3 are conducted every evening from Monday through Sunday.
You can play your selected numbers for up to 12 consecutive drawing dates on the same ticket. Simply inform the cashier during purchase or mark the Number of Draws box on your selection slip.
For draw game tickets, prizes must be claimed within 180 days from the draw date. Once a ticket has expired, it cannot be redeemed even if it is a winning ticket.
